Day 1: Arrive Nairobi
Touching down in Nairobi, your driver will be waiting to meet and assist and drive you in a private vehicle to the Nairobi Serena a member of the Leading Hotels of the World. This elegantly sophisticated Hotel stands amidst lush tropical gardens with panoramic views of Nairobi’s Central Park and the glittering towers of downtown Nairobi. The tranquil setting belies its location – just moments from most of the city attractions, including art and cultural institutions, shopping, nightlife, and entertainment. Guest will enjoy the exceptional standards of accommodation, fine cuisine and the state of the art health club. Meal plan is bed and breakfast.
Day 2: The Rift Valley
Today we enjoy a scenic drive to Lake Nakuru home to the "greatest bird spectacle in the world" with over 400 species of birds on record and its huge concentrations of flamingos that inhabit the shallow, alkaline lake when the conditions are right, along with the Marabou Stork and pelican. After lunch and a short rest we set out to scout the magnificent yellow-barked acacia trees for the elusive napping leopards. Look for incredible wildlife, such as the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe, white and black rhino, lion, buffalo, hippo, waterbuck and baboon on a late afternoon game drive.
One night will be at Lake Nakuru Lodge situated in the heart of one of Kenya's most densely wildlife-populated wetland national Parks (also a Ramsar Site) This traditional safari lodge is an oasis of comfort and friendly service and evening entertainment and slide shows are available for guests each night. Meal plan is full board.
Day 3: Drive to Masai Mara
We depart after an early breakfast to the Mara host to the most spectacular array of wildlife, which constantly changes as the plains game follows ancient migration routes under the watchful eyes of the lion, leopard and cheetah that prey on the vulnerable. Three overnights will be at the Mara Serena Lodge situated on a hill overlooking the 1,800 square kilometers of rolling plains of the Maasai Mara. The lodge blends into its surroundings and reflects the lifestyle of the local Maasai people through the use of narrative materials, decorations and the style resembling a traditional Maasai Manyatta. There will be time to relax after lunch. This afternoon you enjoy your first game viewing drive in the Mara where you will hopefully enjoy seeing all the animals known as the “big Five”. Meal plan is full board.
Day 4: Fabulous Mara
Depart with picnic lunches and spend your day exploring the magnificent Masai Mara and we would leave after breakfast for a full day game drive in the Mara a fabulous place to spot the big cats and all of the big five, a variety of plains game and over 300 birds’ species. Dinner and overnight will be at Mara Serena Lodge.

A balloon safari is an exciting way to see the Mara. Float gently over the plains with a bird's eye view of the game below as the sun rises slowly over the horizon. After around one hour the balloon lands and nearby a full breakfast is served in the middle of the bush with glasses of bubbly to toast your flight!
Day 5: Fly Wilson / Kilimanjaro / Drive to Tarangire
After breakfast we fly to Wilson where we connect with the scheduled flight to Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Your driver guide will be waiting to meet and assist and after a short safari briefing we drive to Tarangire famous for its huge herds of elephant, a rival to the parks gigantic, squat Baobab trees, one of its most celebrated features. One night will be at Tarangire Sopa Lodge hidden among the kopjes and surrounded by ancient baobab trees. Enjoy a game drive this afternoon in one of the most diverse and beautiful parks in Tanzania. Meal plan is full board.
Day 6: Onto Ngorongoro
Enjoy a game drive this morning returning to the Lodge for breakfast.
A lovely drive takes us to Ngorongoro Serena perched on the jagged rim of the world’s oldest caldera. Created from river-stone and cloaked in indigenous creepers, this superlative lodge blends effortlessly into its surrounds. We will arrive in the late afternoon for dinner and a welcome overnight rest. Meal plan is full board.
Day 7: Full day Crater Tour
Today we spend a memorable day exploring the breadth and depth of this natural wonder .We descend into the crater, one of the few places in Africa where you stand a very good chance of seeing the Big Five in the course of a game drive and have a picnic lunch on the crater floor. This perfect caldera is one of the largest in the world offering a spectacular wildlife haven with over 30 000 animals inhabit the deep crater. We return to the lodge in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight. Meal plan is full board.
Day 8: Drive to Serengeti
Continue to Serengeti National Park and on to Serengeti Serena set high on the saddle of a tree-clad ridge commanding panoramic views over the endlessly rolling reaches and volcanic reefs of the Serengeti. Drawing its inspiration from the circular ‘Rondavel’ dwellings and winding paths of a traditional Maasai village, the Lodge features thickly-thatched, stone-built rooms, spaciously set amongst groves of indigenous trees that are cooled by sparkling streams and papyrus-fringed ponds. We will arrive for lunch and in the afternoon enjoy a game drive. Meal plan is full board
Day 9: Explore Serengeti
Spend an exciting day at the heart of the most diverse migration corridor in the world. Creatures of every size and description, flood the savannah …herds of mammoth elephant, the stately giraffe and the lumbering rhino alongside the more diminutive inhabitants…the delicate antelope, bulky wildebeest and the comical warthog . We return to the Lodge for a welcome rest and dinner.
Day 10: Lake Manyara
After breakfast we drive to Lake Manyara and one night will be spent at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge dramatically situated on top of the Mto WA Mbu escarpment, overlooking the vast expanse of the Great Rift Valley. The rooms blend gracefully with the serene natural surroundings. Enjoy a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park a beautiful and incredibly diverse park for its size and offering a varied ecosystems, incredible bird life, and breathtaking views. The park is well known for its tree-climbing lions, the only kind of their species in the world who make the ancient mahogany and elegant acacias their home during the rainy season and also home to the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world. A game drive will be provided in the Park and meal plan is full board.
Day 11: Fly to Wilson / Depart
After breakfast we depart by road to Kilimanjaro Airport with picnic boxes to connect with the scheduled flight back to Wilson Airport in Nairobi. If time allows enjoy a complimentary dinner at the Carnivore and later a transfer will be provided to the Airport for your outbound flight.
